Let’s talk about one of the coolest schools in Cape town and why it may be rumored to be a degree or two cooler this summer. The above mentioned school is the Seven Steps academy for the deaf.
Upon arrival, we were treated to the kindest smiles and pure appreciation from the principal, teachers, and students alike. The school newly relocated from Houtbay to Zonneblom and has been in the area since June 2021.
We were given a brief tour of the premises by friendly Seven Steps Academy staff member, Jacques, and eventually met with our trusty qualified Gree installer, Alphus who had already gotten the unit up and running.
The 18000btu unit had been donated to the school by Gree Direct and had been installed in one of the schools’ outdoor classrooms, which had been known for being quite hot during summer, reportedly hitting high temperatures of around 36 degrees.
These high temperatures would often halt learners’ progression due to the discomfort. Gree Direct stepped up to the plate and offered its cooling touch to assist both the teacher and students in having a much more comfortable lesson.
Stay tuned for new cool adventures with Gree.
